About the Header

My blog header is a picture of Kuhio Park Terrace, where my early childhood in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii began. I am the one standing next to my father and my brother, Jamison, is the one goofing off. It was and still is one of the roughest housing projects on Oahu. It is part of who I am and where I am from.

Mini-Bio

My wife Kyong-Mi and I at the Republik in Honolulu, 2017.
My name is Trevor Michael Dillard. I was born in Wenatchee, Washington on April 28, 1978. I grew up on O‘ahu, Hawai‘i. When someone wants to know where I am from, I usually say, "I'm islandwide." I lived all over the island. It was never a dull moment growing up. I have 3 daughters and 2 sons. I also have one grandson. For their privacy, I will leave their names out. My sons live in Florida and my youngest daughter lives in Iowa.

I also have moved to the Mainland and live in Oregon. My wife is named Kyong-Mi (nee Arcala) and she's originally from Southern California.  She is the one who introduced me to my genealogy.

My hobbies include listening to music, attending the movie theater, hiking when I can get out, cooking, watching football (Green Bay Packers) and basketball (Boston Celtics).  I also like to travel when and where I can.

I have not had a DNA test done, yet, but my dad James Franklin Dillard's family can be traced to England, Ireland, Scotland and France.  My mother Jodie's family can be traced to Wicocomico Tribe in Virginia, Germany, England, and Ireland.
